Introducing COVERGIRL Janelle Monáe!!!!!!!!
This was so exciting for me because I am SUCH a big fan of Janelle Monáe.
Her style is unlike any other female in the music industry. She just has a look that is so classic and chic and this new CoverGirl campaign is just as classic and polished as she is with a little bit of that vibrant personality that she exudes in all her performances.
Inspired by the campaign I decided to put together some outfits dedicated to Janelle Monáe's lovely fashion scents.

Royalty
My mixtape of choice this month has been the Royalty mixtape by Childish Gambino. By now you have probably figured out that I am a Gambino super fan. But from an unbiased point of view, This mixtape, is really good. CG pulled out all the stops with featured artist such as Bun B, Ghostface Killah, Danny Brown, Schoolboy Q, even Tina Fey! Seriously if you haven't downloaded it yet, get it now. iamdonald.com

TV Inspiration: Mordecai from Regular Show
Regular Show is one of my favorite shows on Cartoon Network right now. Its kinda trippy to be a kids television show but it's still pretty funny. One of the main characters on the show is Mordecai; A tall lanky bluebird with a go-with-the-flow attitude who enjoys playing video games, partying and slacking off with his best friend Rigby.
Mordecai and Rigby |
On the show (being that he is just a bird) Mordecai's style is pretty simple. As a human, I would imagine that Mordecai would dress similar to this.

Childish Gambino Fan Style
Since this past Fall I have become a huge Childish Gambino fan. His style, much like his music, has a mix of indie style, some hip hop flavor and a touch of humor. On stage, Gambino usually wears a graphic tee, some jeans (or shorts) and a nice pair of tennis shoes.
Here is some street style inspired by The Great Gambino with a little femininity. Enjoy!

Nautical Stripes & Leopard Print
I love to mix prints all the time, and two prints I believe will never go out of style are Nautical Stripes and Leopard Print. They both pretty much go with anything including each other if (and I stress IF) it is done right. So, here are a few ways I would pair these two fun, classic prints together to get a new funky look...
